Legal Counsel

About the role

The Legal Counsel will safeguard the organization by ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations across the MENA region. This senior position provides strategic legal advice, manages risk, and oversees litigation and corporate governance matters.

Key responsibilities

• Provide legal advice to employees, management, and the board on a wide range of issues.
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.
• Monitor legal and regulatory developments and recommend policy adjustments.
• Advise on corporate governance, board meetings, filings, and regulatory compliance.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate legal risks; implement proactive risk‑management strategies.
• Manage and coordinate litigation and dispute‑resolution activities across the MENA region, including engaging external counsel and controlling legal budgets.
• Maintain detailed case records, timelines, and stakeholder communications during legal crises.
• Oversee intellectual‑property registration, product registration in the UAE and other MENA countries, and obtain required business licences.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Law with at least 5 years of relevant work and litigation experience.
• Licensed lawyer or legal practitioner recognized in a MENA jurisdiction.
• Fluent in Arabic and English, with ability to translate legal documents.
• High professional ethics, integrity, and strong judgment.
• Willingness to travel internationally and immediate availability.
