Linux Administrator

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Linux Administrator to manage, secure, and optimise our enterprise Linux environment that supports critical banking and business applications. The role involves system hardening, patch management, automation, performance tuning and ensuring high availability of production systems.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and support Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) servers, including OS patching, upgrades and routine maintenance.
• Monitor system health, performance and availability, and troubleshoot Linux‑related issues.
• Implement security hardening using CIS Benchmarks and DISA STIG, manage SELinux policies and kernel‑level configurations.
• Support audit, compliance and security review processes.
• Automate patching and configuration management with Ansible and Red Hat Satellite.
• Develop shell scripts and automation workflows to improve operational efficiency.
• Provide high‑availability production support and performance optimisation.

Required profile

• 5–8 years of hands‑on experience in Linux administration, preferably in a banking or enterprise environment.
• Strong understanding of security hardening, SELinux and kernel tuning.
• Proven experience with automation tools such as Ansible and Red Hat Satellite.
• Ability to write and maintain shell scripts for routine tasks.
• Relevant certifications (RHCER, RHCSA, LFCS) are mandatory.
