Maintenance Technician – Elevators and Escalators

About the role

We are looking for a Maintenance Technician specialized in elevators and escalators to join KONE Middle East, Turkey & Africa. You will be the frontline hero ensuring equipment safety, performance and customer satisfaction through proactive on‑site service.

Key responsibilities

• Manage customer relationships and ensure satisfaction through quality service and proactive on‑site communication.
• Provide accurate, real‑time back‑reporting of work performed at the equipment level.
• Maintain equipment safety and performance, identify site risks and communicate them to the supervisor.
• Take immediate on‑site action for high‑risk situations and follow escalation procedures.
• Identify and execute unplanned service repairs based on equipment needs.
• Ensure end‑user and site safety, adhering to safe working practices and maintenance instructions.
• Execute service visits (planned maintenance, call‑outs, service repairs) within schedule, quality standards and processes.
• Raise sales leads to the supervisor and submit timely timesheets.
• Keep service tooling, van and instruments safe, maintained and in good condition.
• Provide regular updates to the supervisor on all relevant information.

Required profile

• ITI/Vocational Certificate or Diploma in Electrical/Electronics/Automation or equivalent.
• Good verbal and written English communication skills.
• Basic IT and digital foundation skills.
• Minimum 5 years of solid preventive maintenance and troubleshooting experience with a reputable elevator company.
• Valid GCC residency/work permit.
