Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Specialist – Al Dhafra Region

About the role

The Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Specialist will deliver high‑quality, evidence‑based, patient‑centred care within the Al Dhafra region. Working under the supervision of a Consultant Physician, the role includes direct patient management, supervision of junior staff, and participation in on‑call duties.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat patients according to best‑practice standards for physical medicine and rehabilitation.
• Lead ward rounds, reassessing in‑patients and out‑patients regularly.
• Document clinical information accurately and promptly.
• Supervise and train junior medical staff alongside the Consultant Physician.
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings to plan holistic patient care.
• Ensure appropriate utilization of hospital resources and compliance with admission, discharge, and procedural protocols.
• Provide out‑of‑hours on‑call coverage on a rotational basis.
• Liaise with other specialties and support services for comprehensive patient management.

Required profile

• Qualified specialist in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
• Ability to supervise junior medical staff and contribute to their training.
• Willingness to participate in on‑call duties, including evenings, nights, weekends and public holidays.
