About the role

Safa Community School is seeking a dynamic Secondary Teacher of Food Preparation & Nutrition to join its award‑winning secondary department. You will teach students across the GCSE and A‑Level programmes, fostering practical skills and nutritional knowledge.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and assess Food Preparation & Nutrition lessons for secondary students.
• Prepare students for public examinations, marking work and recording progress.
• Use data to monitor student achievement and implement timely interventions.
• Communicate student progress to parents through reports and meetings.
• Maintain classroom discipline and contribute to a positive learning environment.
• Participate in departmental meetings, curriculum development and school events.

Required profile

• Passionate about teaching Food Preparation and Nutrition at secondary level.
• Experience teaching GCSE and A‑Level curricula.
• Strong organisational and data‑driven assessment skills.
• Excellent communication with students, parents and colleagues.
• Team‑player willing to contribute to departmental policy and initiatives.
