Senior Accountant – Civil Contracting & Real Estate

About the role

We are seeking a hands‑on Senior Accountant to support a diversified group operating in oilfield services, civil contracting and industrial real estate. Reporting directly to the General Manager, you will oversee accounting operations across multiple entities while ensuring robust cash‑flow control, audit readiness and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Manage full‑cycle AP, AR, general ledger, bank reconciliations, accruals, pre‑payments and fixed‑asset registers for several companies.
• Prepare monthly financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash‑flow) and maintain audit‑ready documentation.
• Monitor daily cash positions, produce weekly cash‑flow forecasts and process payments via ADCB ProCash and other UAE internet‑banking platforms.
• Handle PDC cheque registers, coordinate with property‑management teams and reconcile rental income.
• Maintain loan EMI schedules, ensure timely repayments and support bank facility reviews.
• Prepare and file UAE VAT returns through the FTA portal and assist with corporate‑tax compliance.
• Support external audits and lead the migration to Odoo ERP, including data cleanup and opening‑balance entry.
• Liaise with procurement, subcontractors and project teams to track costs, retentions and inventory movements.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of UAE accounting experience, including at least 2 years at senior accountant level.
• Currently residing in Abu Dhabi; no relocation support offered.
• Immediate availability or short notice preferred.
• Strong knowledge of UAE VAT, corporate tax and banking regulations.
