Senior Business Development Associate – Merchant Lending

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Business Development Associate to drive merchant lending growth for the SME Asset Team. The role focuses on POS loan acquisition, buy‑out finance and cross‑selling insurance products to small and medium enterprises in the UAE.

Key responsibilities

• Generate new business volume through end‑to‑end sales and self‑sourced loan applications.
• Identify and onboard new merchant clients for POS loans and buy‑out financing.
• Manage existing portfolios and cross‑sell insurance solutions.
• Achieve asset‑sales targets and maximise loan penetration in line with KPIs.
• Collaborate with business partners, channels and internal stakeholders to improve products and the customer experience.
• Maintain CRM records, create sales referrals and provide feedback to product managers.
• Ensure service standards, SLA compliance and timely KYC reviews.
• Conduct local area marketing events and travel within the UAE as required.

Required profile

• University graduate with 2‑3 years of banking or related sales experience.
• Strong business banking sales management and UAE demographic knowledge.
• Excellent networking, communication and presentation abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure, meet stretched targets and manage multiple projects.
• Willingness to travel across the UAE and maintain high‑quality KYC documentation.
