Senior Facilities Management Engineer – HVAC

About the role

We are seeking a Senior FM Engineer specialized in HVAC to lead the maintenance and repair of building systems across our portfolio. You will ensure that electrical, plumbing, heating, ventilation, air‑conditioning, carpentry, painting and other assets operate within design parameters and meet energy‑efficiency goals.

Key responsibilities

• Audit HVAC and other building systems, collect data, and propose energy‑saving initiatives.
• Verify asset register accuracy on‑site and assist with labeling and classification in coordination with vendors.
• Maintain accurate information in the CAFM system and produce detailed condition surveys.
• Respond to escalated maintenance and reactive complaints, ensuring repairs follow industry best practices and FM guidelines.
• Monitor and resolve repeated complaints, and handle emergency maintenance requests from tenants.
• Support the Facilities Executive in tracking pending maintenance jobs, store management, and scrap disposal.
• Assist with major renovation and capital‑improvement projects, including snagging, de‑snagging and Defect Liability Period management.
• Coordinate the 52‑week Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) schedule, track completion, and audit post‑PPM effectiveness.
• Analyze energy consumption, flag abnormal usage, and review commercial/retail fit‑out drawings for compliance.

Required profile

• Proven experience overseeing maintenance and repairs of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, painting and other building systems.
• Ability to conduct audits, generate reports and recommend energy‑saving measures.
• Strong coordination skills with vendors, help‑desk teams and facilities executives.
• Experience managing preventive maintenance programmes and large‑scale renovation projects.
