Senior Piping Stress Engineer – Abu Dhabi

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Piping Stress Engineer to join Technip Energies in Abu Dhabi. The role focuses on piping stress analysis and pipe support design for major oil and gas offshore and on‑shore projects.

Key responsibilities

• Qualify piping routing for high‑pressure compressors, pumps and other static equipment according to applicable codes.
• Prepare job specifications and stress‑critical line lists.
• Perform static and dynamic stress analysis of critical lines and interpret results.
• Coordinate with layout and support teams to implement analysis requirements and optimise design cost‑effectively.
• Ensure compliance with code requirements and project specifications for nozzle loadings.
• Prepare specifications and data sheets for expansion bellows, springs, rigid struts, sliding plates, etc.
• Evaluate vendor offers and review technical documents for special pipe‑support items.

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in piping stress analysis and pipe support design on oil & gas projects.
• Strong understanding of piping layouts, EPC concepts and relevant industry codes.
• Ability to anticipate bottlenecks and propose practical solutions.

Required skills

• Piping stress analysis (static & dynamic).
• Pipe support design.
• Knowledge of industry codes (e.g., ASME, API).
• Preparation of specifications for expansion bellows, springs and rigid struts.
