Summer Internship - Urban Designer and Landscape Architect

About the role

As a summer intern in Gensler’s UAE offices, you will join a full‑time, paid internship program where you will work alongside professional designers on real projects. The internship lasts a minimum of three months, with a flexible start date.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with design teams on urban design and landscape architecture projects.
• Participate in design charrettes, client workshops and learning sessions.
• Assist in preparing drawings, models and presentation materials.
• Engage in mentorship activities such as lunch‑and‑learns, in‑house training and vendor visits.
• Support the team in delivering design solutions that meet client objectives.

Required profile

• Enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Architecture (third‑year undergraduate or first‑year graduate).
• Available to return to studies after the internship and graduate within one year.
• Portfolio (PDF, 2‑4 samples) demonstrating design process and innovative solutions.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Revit (required).
• Experience with AutoCAD and/or BIM modeling software.
• Adobe Creative Cloud Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign.
• 3D rendering tools such as SketchUp or 3ds Max.
• Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint.
