UAE Pilot Cadet – Second in Command

About the role

The UAE Pilot Cadet position is a second‑in‑command role supporting the Captain or Aircraft Commander on flydubai flights. The cadet will help ensure safe and efficient aircraft operations in both normal and non‑normal situations.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Captain in operating flights safely and efficiently.
• Act as a brand ambassador, maintaining high standards of discipline, conduct, and appearance.
• Ensure duty of care and welfare for crew and passengers.
• Support fueling, baggage/cargo loading, and aircraft servicing.
• Follow flydubai Operations Manuals and execute duties as instructed.

Required profile

• High School Diploma.
• Fluent in English and Arabic.
• 225‑1000 flight hours (age‑dependent requirement).
• GCAA Air‑law exam (for foreign licence holders).
• ELP level 4 or higher.
• Proof of military service or exemption (preferred).
• 1st Class ICAO Medical certificate.
• CPL/IR with MCC for Frozen ATPL.

Required skills

• CPL/IR certification.
• Multi‑Crew Cooperation (MCC) training.
• Frozen ATPL pathway.
• ELP level 4 proficiency.
• GCAA Air‑law knowledge.
