Chess Coach

About the role

We are looking for a passionate Chess Coach to deliver engaging, age‑appropriate chess sessions for children aged 5‑15. The role involves nurturing strategic thinking, preparing students for competitions, and fostering a love for the game in a supportive environment.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct structured, interactive chess coaching sessions for students aged 5–15.
• Teach fundamental to advanced chess strategies, tactics, and game theory.
• Develop lesson plans tailored to each student’s skill level.
• Organise practice matches, tournaments, and inter‑school competitions.
• Track student progress and provide regular feedback to parents and management.
• Prepare students for local and international chess competitions.
• Promote critical thinking, concentration, and problem‑solving through chess.
• Maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Chess Coach or competitive chess player.
• Strong knowledge of chess strategies, openings, middle game, and endgames.
• Experience working with children in schools or training centres.
• FIDE rating or participation in recognised tournaments is a plus.
• Excellent communication and classroom‑management skills.
• Ability to motivate and engage young learners.
