Construction Supervisor (EIT)

About the role

Petrofac is seeking an early‑in‑career Construction Supervisor to lead on‑site activities across mechanical, piping, painting, insulation, refractory and fire‑proofing disciplines. The role involves ensuring work is performed safely, to quality standards and in line with project schedules while supporting the company’s transition to sustainable energy solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily construction activities and field personnel across multiple disciplines.
• Conduct toolbox talks, safety walks and HSE meetings, and promptly address hazards.
• Monitor progress against specifications, quality, productivity and schedule targets.
• Prepare and submit reports on construction progress, manpower forecasts and inspection status.
• Alert the Construction Manager or Superintendent of any non‑conformances.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, review BOQ, responsibility matrices and resolve on‑site issues.
• Verify material hand‑over, control and issue to subcontractors.
• Coach and mentor less‑experienced staff and provide feedback via observation forms.

Required profile

• Early‑in‑career professional with a background in construction supervision.
• Strong understanding of safety procedures and ability to promote a safe work environment.
• Capability to read and interpret approved drawings and technical documents.
• Effective communication skills for reporting and coaching.

Required skills

• Supervision of mechanical and piping construction activities.
• Knowledge of painting, insulation, refractory and fire‑proofing processes.
• Reading and interpreting technical drawings such as single‑line diagrams, wiring diagrams, layout and plan drawings.
