Construction Supervisor – Piping

About the role

Petrofac is seeking an experienced Construction Supervisor to lead piping and related mechanical works on site. You will ensure that all activities are performed safely, on schedule, and to the required quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise construction activities and field personnel for mechanical, piping, painting, insulation, refractory and fire‑proofing disciplines.
• Conduct daily toolbox talks and promote a safe work environment.
• Monitor daily progress, quality, productivity and schedule compliance.
• Report any non‑conformances to the Construction Manager or Superintendent.
• Prepare progress reports, manpower forecasts and construction observation forms.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, verify material handling and resolve on‑site issues.
• Ensure inspections are signed off with minimal punch‑list items.
• Coach and mentor less experienced staff.

Required profile

• Proven experience supervising mechanical and piping construction activities.
• Strong knowledge of safety procedures and HSE practices.
• Ability to read and interpret specifications, BOQ and contract documents.
• Effective communication skills for toolbox talks and stakeholder coordination.

Required skills

• Mechanical and piping construction expertise.
• Installation and maintenance of rotating equipment (gas turbines, centrifugal compressors, reciprocating compressors, steam turbines).
• Painting, insulation, refractory and fire‑proofing techniques.
• Use of construction observation forms and progress reporting tools.
