Head of Information Technology (IT)

About the role

We are looking for a strategic Head of Information Technology to steer the technology agenda of Dubai Insurance Company. The role will shape the IT roadmap, ensure operational excellence, and drive digital innovation across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute an IT strategy aligned with business objectives.
• Lead the management of IT infrastructure, networks, systems, applications and cloud environments.
• Oversee cybersecurity, information security, data protection and business continuity initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with UAE regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
• Manage core insurance systems, digital platforms and technology vendors.
• Drive digital transformation, automation and technology innovation projects.
• Lead IT governance, risk management and disaster recovery planning.
• Develop and control IT budgets, procurement and vendor relationships.
• Build, mentor and lead a high‑performing IT team.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to deliver technology solutions that improve efficiency and customer experience.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering or related field; Master’s preferred.
• 10–15 years progressive IT experience, including at least 5 years in senior leadership.
• Experience in insurance, financial services or other regulated industries.
• Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, PMP, ITIL, AWS or Azure are a plus.
• Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management abilities.
