Human Resources Director – Abu Dhabi Government

About the role

A senior HR Division Manager is needed to lead the enterprise‑wide people agenda for a local Abu Dhabi government entity. The role works closely with executive leadership to translate organisational and government priorities into effective workforce planning, talent, performance, and employee experience outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Lead organisation‑wide HR and workforce strategy aligned with Abu Dhabi Government frameworks.
• Oversee core HR functions including workforce planning, recruitment, performance management, talent and succession.
• Partner with senior leadership on organisation design, competency models, career pathways and capability building.
• Ensure robust governance of HR policies, rewards, employee relations and compliance.
• Build and lead a high‑performing HR leadership team.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience leading HR strategy and operations in a complex, regulated or government environment.
• Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and align people practices with organisational goals.
• Strong judgement in policy, organisational design and employee relations.
• Experience managing senior HR professionals and driving change.
• Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, public administration or related field (post‑graduate qualification advantageous).
• Minimum 9–11 years of progressive HR experience, with substantial senior leadership responsibility.
