Maintenance Engineer – Security Systems

About the role

The Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for the operation, maintenance, testing and hand‑over of security systems for offshore projects in Basra. The role ensures that networking, CCTV, access control, IDS and power infrastructure are ready and functional to support smooth site operations.

Key responsibilities

• Deploy and support offshore maintenance activities in Basra.
• Monitor fault logs, perform root‑cause analysis and resolve issues.
• Coordinate with clients, IT teams and other stakeholders to ensure system functionality.
• Maintain firmware, apply security patches and manage configurations for optimal performance.
• Record faults, preventive maintenance tasks and call‑outs in detailed reports.
• Implement and uphold network security measures and user protocols.
• Advise clients on system upgrades and deliver refresher training as needed.
• Oversee system performance, routine operations and supervise technicians during implementations and repairs.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical & Electronics, Electronics & Telecommunication, or IT with a Physics background.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in security systems, including total or turn‑around projects.
• Relevant certifications such as Cisco CCNA, CCNP, BCNE, CCTV (Milestone, Genetec, Axis), ACS (LENEL, KERISYS, PAXTON), Biometrics, ANPR and video analytics.
