Manufacturing & Fabrication Bits Operator

About the role

The Bit Operator will work on a variety of bit manufacturing processes, including grinding, blasting, assembly and packaging. The role requires hands‑on operation of manual and pneumatic tools, adherence to engineering drawings and strict safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Operate handheld grinding and drilling tools to perform hole sizing and other manual grinding tasks.
• Assemble components according to engineering drawings and set procedures.
• Set up and adjust equipment to ensure proper alignment and balance of work pieces.
• Perform operator‑level machine maintenance and daily cleaning of the work area.
• Follow NOV regulations, QHSE requirements and obtain supervisor approval for set‑ups before production welding.
• Flexibly move to other operations, shifts or weekends as required.

Required profile

• Diploma in mechanical engineering or vocational training with at least 2 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in production processes or light/heavy fabrication environments.
• Ability to read and interpret manufacturing drawings and schematics.
• Good English communication skills and a safety‑focused mindset.
