Merchant Settlements Associate

About the role

Finera is seeking a Merchant Settlements Associate to join its Finance team in Dubai. The role ensures accurate and timely settlement of merchant funds across multiple payment systems, supporting both traditional currencies and digital assets.

Key responsibilities

• Support daily merchant settlement processes, preparing settlement amounts, deductions and net payouts.
• Monitor settlement flows across payment processors, banking partners and internal systems, tracking cycles and escalating delays.
• Reconcile settlement data from multiple sources, validate transactions and investigate discrepancies.
• Assist Account Management teams by responding to merchant queries on statements, FX conversions, fees and reserve releases.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in merchant settlements, payments operations or financial operations, preferably in fintech or transaction‑heavy environments.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical mindset and good communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under supervision.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Familiarity with accounting or ERP systems such as Xero or NetSuite.
• Basic understanding of payment processing, settlement flows and reconciliation.
• Exposure to digital asset or cryptocurrency platforms (a plus).
