Project Engineer

About the role

The Project Engineer will lead and coordinate engineering projects in the oil and gas sector, ensuring compliance with client specifications, statutory requirements, and company procedures. The role focuses on maintaining high standards of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) performance while delivering customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Review proposal documentation and client specifications to understand the full scope of work.
• Manage client and subcontractor correspondence in line with document‑control procedures.
• Record meeting minutes, track actions, and ensure timely follow‑up.
• Maintain accurate project records and files.
• Define scope of work for all relevant departments and ensure QC documents are submitted for client approval.
• Monitor engineering submissions, technical queries, and subcontractor commitments.
• Produce weekly and monthly status reports highlighting time and cost variations.
• Raise and authorise alteration requests, managing associated cost and schedule impacts.
• Analyse cost reports and recommend corrective actions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in any engineering discipline.
• Minimum 12 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, including offshore and onshore installation projects.
