Research Assistant – Experimental Diabetes

About the role

The Department of Anatomy at the United Arab Emirates University is seeking a Research Assistant to support its experimental diabetes programme. This fixed‑term position (initially 1.5 years) offers the chance to work in a vibrant academic environment located in Al‑Ain, with easy access to Abu Dhabi and Dubai.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in designing and executing experiments related to experimental diabetes.
• Perform computational chemistry analyses and molecular modelling to support hypothesis testing.
• Collect, process, and analyse experimental data using appropriate statistical methods.
• Prepare progress reports, scientific presentations, and manuscript drafts.
• Maintain laboratory records, reagents, and equipment in compliance with safety standards.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in biomedical sciences or a closely related discipline.
• Demonstrated research experience in experimental diabetes and computational sciences.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
