About the role
Parsons is seeking a highly experienced Senior Architectural Designer to lead the design of iconic pedestrian bridges in Dubai. You will blend aesthetic vision with structural and functional requirements while ensuring full compliance with local accessibility standards.
Key responsibilities
- Design a variety of pedestrian bridges, including steel, concrete, suspension, precast, and architecturally unique solutions.
- Integrate aesthetic concepts with structural and functional criteria.
- Ensure bridge accessibility complies with Dubai Accessibility standards and international guidelines such as ADA.
- Coordinate with structural, MEP, and other discipline teams to obtain timely and accurate information.
- Mentor junior architects and BIM modelers throughout the design process.
- Collaborate with the manager to align design outcomes with team targets.
Required profile
- Minimum 12 years of professional architectural design experience, with at least 5 years in the UAE.
- Specialized experience in pedestrian bridge design, from concept through detailed coordination.
- Familiarity with Dubai Municipality, RTA, Trakhees, and DDA regulations.
- Registered Architect with the UAE Society of Engineers and approved by Dubai Municipality.
Required skills
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit (BIM), SketchUp, Rhino/Grasshopper, 3ds Max, Lumion, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Strong BIM workflow experience on infrastructure and public‑space projects.
- Ability to produce concept designs and detailed construction documents.
