Senior Blockchain Engineer – DeFi Platform

About the role

1inch is building a DeFi ecosystem that empowers users to trade, hold and track digital assets with self‑custody and strong security. As a Senior Blockchain Engineer you will join a fast‑moving team to design, develop and optimise the smart contracts and blockchain infrastructure that power the platform.

Key responsibilities

• Design and optimise scalable, secure blockchain product architecture.
• Lead end‑to‑end development, integration and internal auditing of high‑value smart contracts.
• Conduct advanced R&D, proof‑of‑concept experiments and pioneer new DeFi features.
• Develop cross‑chain interoperability solutions, including atomic swaps and bridging infrastructure.
• Deep‑dive into gas optimisation and low‑latency performance.
• Collaborate with external auditors to ensure flawless security and product launches.
• Champion rigorous code reviews, build CI/CD pipelines for Web3 and mentor junior developers.

Required profile

• 7+ years of professional software development experience, with at least 3 years focused on production‑grade blockchain engineering.
• Strong problem‑solving mindset, able to navigate rapid changes in the crypto landscape.
• Proven track record of owning architectural decisions and delivering secure, high‑performance solutions.

Required skills

• Solidity and Yul programming.
• Deep understanding of the Ethereum ecosystem and EVM.
• Experience with Layer‑2 solutions (Optimistic and ZK Rollups).
• Cross‑chain architecture and interoperability.
• Smart contract lifecycle management and security auditing.
• Gas optimisation techniques.
• CI/CD pipelines for Web3 development.
