Senior CyberSecurity Technical Engineer – Aviation Environments

About the role

Emirates is seeking a Senior CyberSecurity Technical Engineer to design, build, and operate security technologies for its aviation environment. You will ensure that security solutions comply with corporate policies, support business requirements, and reduce cyber risk across the airline’s digital assets.

Key responsibilities

• Lead discovery projects and create high‑level security designs aligned with business needs.
• Manage the full lifecycle of cybersecurity technologies from conception through service operation.
• Make design decisions based on security principles and coordinate with internal teams to gain support.
• Produce technical documentation for designs, operations, and support, and develop related security standards.
• Facilitate regular reviews of technology designs against industry best practices.
• Act as a subject‑matter expert to diagnose and resolve cybersecurity technology issues.

Required profile

• Degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent) in Information Technology or a related discipline.
• Professional cybersecurity certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CRISC, or AI/blockchain security (advantageous).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, including governance and risk management.
• Proven experience delivering cybersecurity services in aviation or other safety‑critical environments.
• Strong understanding of safety‑critical operations and their interdependency with cybersecurity, reliability, and availability.
• Sound knowledge of aviation IT systems, architectures, and technology domains.
