Senior Software Engineering Manager – Mobile Apps

About the role

Dyson is looking for a Senior Software Engineering Manager to lead the Mobile App teams in Dubai. You will provide technical and strategic direction for multiple scrum teams, ensuring high‑quality delivery for the MyDyson app used by millions worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and mentor the Dubai app scrum teams, fostering a supportive and productive environment.
• Oversee the Build‑Operate‑Transfer (BOT) process for key staff within the teams.
• Collaborate with Software Engineering Managers across all app teams to ensure consistent approaches and robust support.
• Define a clear vision and strategic growth plan for the Dubai teams.
• Partner with senior engineering peers to drive effective collaboration and prioritize team interests.
• Work with the SVP and Head of App to align on global app objectives and deliver results.
• Identify and introduce new technologies, tools, and practices to continuously improve standards.
• Handle vendor management and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• At least 10 years of experience in software or mobile app development.
• Minimum 4 years of people‑management experience.
• Strong mobile engineering background as an iOS or Android specialist.
• Proven track record leading teams that build and ship large‑scale mobile applications serving millions of users.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and continuous delivery.

Required skills

• iOS: Swift, MVVM, RxSwift, SwiftUI, Combine.
• Android: Kotlin, Volley, RxJava, Dagger.
• Agile project management and team leadership.
