Systems & Cloud Operations Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a hands‑on Systems & Cloud Operations Engineer to manage and support a hybrid infrastructure that spans on‑premise data centres and Microsoft Azure. The role ensures reliability, security and performance while leveraging automation and AI tools to boost operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and maintain infrastructure across data‑centre and Azure environments.
• Monitor system performance, availability and security, and respond to incidents.
• Support business‑critical applications and databases, including SQL and NoSQL platforms.
• Troubleshoot issues across infrastructure, application and network layers.
• Provide Level 1–2 IT support, handling user access and device management.
• Administer backups, patching, upgrades and disaster‑recovery processes.
• Implement security best practices such as firewalls, VPNs and access controls.
• Use automation and AI tools to improve monitoring, troubleshooting and overall operations.

Required profile

• 5–7 years of experience in infrastructure, systems or cloud operations.
• Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Hands‑on experience with Microsoft Azure.
• Good understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs) and virtualization.
• Experience supporting applications and databases (SQL/NoSQL).
• Proficiency in scripting (PowerShell, Python or Bash).
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as Azure Monitor, Grafana or ELK.
• Experience in regulated or production environments is a plus.
