Systems & Cloud Operations Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a hands‑on Systems & Cloud Operations Engineer to manage and support a hybrid infrastructure that spans on‑premise data centres and Microsoft Azure. The role ensures reliability, security and performance of critical systems while driving automation and AI‑enhanced operations.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and monitor infrastructure across on‑premise data centre and Azure environments.
• Track system performance, availability and security, and respond to incidents.
• Provide Level 1‑2 IT support, including user access and device management.
• Administer backups, patching, upgrades and disaster‑recovery processes.
• Implement security best practices such as firewalls, VPNs and access controls.
• Use scripting and automation tools to streamline monitoring, troubleshooting and routine tasks.

Required profile

• 5–7 years of experience in infrastructure, systems or cloud operations.
• Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Hands‑on experience with Microsoft Azure services.
• Good understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN) and virtualization.
• Experience supporting applications and databases (SQL/NoSQL) in regulated or production environments.

Required skills

• PowerShell, Python or Bash scripting.
• Azure Monitor, Grafana or ELK for logging and monitoring.
• Firewalls, VPNs and access‑control configuration.
• Backup, patch management and disaster‑recovery procedures.
