Systems & Cloud Operations Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a hands‑on Systems & Cloud Operations Engineer to manage and support a hybrid infrastructure that spans on‑premise data centres and Microsoft Azure. The role ensures reliability, security and performance while leveraging automation and AI tools to boost operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and maintain infrastructure across data‑centre and Azure environments.
• Monitor system performance, availability and security.
• Support business‑critical applications and databases.
• Troubleshoot issues across infrastructure, application and network layers.
• Provide Level 1–2 IT support, including user access and device management.
• Administer backups, patching, upgrades and disaster‑recovery processes.
• Implement security best practices such as firewalls, VPNs and access controls.
• Use automation and AI tools to improve monitoring, troubleshooting and operations.

Required profile

• 5–7 years of experience in infrastructure, systems or cloud operations.
• Strong knowledge of Windows, Linux and Microsoft Azure.
• Good understanding of networking (TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs) and virtualization.
• Experience supporting applications and databases (SQL/NoSQL).
• Scripting experience with PowerShell, Python or Bash.
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as Azure Monitor, Grafana or ELK.
• Experience working in regulated or production environments.
