A-level Chemistry Teacher (Start Jan 2027)

About the role

GEMS FirstPoint School in Dubai is looking for an enthusiastic A‑Level Chemistry Teacher to start in January 2027. The role offers the chance to deliver high‑quality chemistry lessons to senior students and, for the right candidate, to take on middle‑leadership responsibilities.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging A‑Level Chemistry curriculum aligned with the British curriculum.
• Assess student progress, provide feedback and support diverse learning needs.
• Contribute to departmental meetings and school-wide initiatives.
• Potentially assume additional duties such as Curriculum Leadership, Head of Year, ECA Coordination or Head of Careers.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry or a related discipline.
• Recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS or equivalent).
• Proven experience teaching Chemistry at A‑Level within the British curriculum.
• Strong commitment to inclusive education and ability to inspire students of all abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
