Accountant – Finance Team (Umm Al Quwain)

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Accountant to join our finance team at Gulf Orchid Perfume Manufacturing in Umm Al Quwain. The role involves managing day‑to‑day accounting activities, handling receivables and payables, and ensuring compliance with UAE VAT regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage Accounts Receivable, track payments and follow up on overdue balances.
• Issue accurate sales invoices, statements and reconcile customer accounts.
• Process Accounts Payable, verify supplier invoices and schedule timely payments.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
• Perform daily bank reconciliations and handle routine banking operations such as wire transfers and cheque preparation.
• Maintain petty cash, verify receipts and record disbursements.
• Ensure compliance with UAE VAT regulations, prepare VAT summaries and support periodic VAT filings.
• Post daily journal entries, maintain the general ledger and execute monthly closing procedures.
• Prepare trial balances, support year‑end audit preparations and track production‑related expenses.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 3–4 years of general accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing or trading.
• Hands‑on knowledge of UAE VAT regulations and bank reconciliation.
• Fluency in Arabic (spoken and written).
• Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP accounting systems.
• Advanced MS Excel skills.
