Accountant – Full Cycle & VAT Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a diligent Accountant to join a leading cosmetics and beauty organisation in Dubai. The role involves managing the complete accounting cycle, inventory control, and UAE VAT compliance for a fast‑moving retail and FMCG environment.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain the general ledger and prepare periodic financial statements.
• Perform inventory valuation, warehouse stock reconciliations, and cost of goods sold tracking.
• Calculate and file UAE VAT returns, ensuring adherence to local tax regulations.
• Process accounts payable, accounts receivable, vendor reconciliations, and daily bank transactions.
• Utilise ERP systems (Zoho, Odoo, SAP, or QuickBooks) for transaction logging and performance monitoring.
• Support budgeting, cash‑flow forecasting, and variance analysis for operational management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related field.
• Proven experience in full‑cycle bookkeeping and inventory accounting.
• Strong knowledge of UAE VAT regulations and audit preparation.
• High numerical accuracy and ability to work under tight deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP platforms such as Zoho, Odoo, SAP or QuickBooks.
• Advanced MS Excel for financial analysis.
• Understanding of UAE VAT compliance.

• Competitive salary range AED 5,000 – AED 8,000 per month (estimated).
