Accountant – Hotel Finance

About the role

Al Raya Group is seeking a detail‑oriented Accountant to join its hotel finance team in Abu Dhabi. The role supports daily accounting operations such as accounts payable, receivable, revenue accounting, reconciliations and general‑ledger activities, reporting to the Finance Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate accounting records and process supplier invoices, payment requests and expense claims.
• Record and reconcile hotel revenue from rooms, food & beverage, banquets and other departments.
• Perform regular bank, supplier, customer, revenue and general‑ledger reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Assist with month‑end and year‑end closing, including journal entries, accruals, pre‑payments and supporting schedules.
• Prepare customer and corporate invoices, monitor receivables and follow up on overdue balances.
• Support payroll‑related accounting entries, staff benefits and inventory cost accounting as required.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 1–2 years of accounting experience, preferably in the UAE hospitality or real‑estate sector.
• Familiarity with UAE VAT; exposure to UAE Corporate Tax is a plus.
• Professional proficiency in English; Arabic is an advantage.

Required skills

• Experience with Zoho Books or a similar ERP system.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Working knowledge of UAE VAT regulations.
