Accountant – Subcontractor Cost & Payments

About the role

The Accountant will manage subcontractor cost and payments for projects across Dubai and Abu Dhabi. You will ensure accurate processing of payment certificates, monitor guarantees, and support senior managers with financial reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and enter payment certificates from all sites into the Oracle system.
• Enter debit notes in Oracle when required.
• Monitor subcontractor payments, advances, guarantees, penalties, retentions and security cheques using Excel ledgers.
• Track expiry dates of bank guarantees and coordinate renewals with banks.
• Release bank guarantees and security cheques on subcontractor request.
• Assist subcontractors with payment status queries and maintain their bank account details.
• Support senior managers in monthly provisions, cost reports and assignment letters for bank use.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in accounting or corporate finance, preferably within GCC contracting companies.
• Ability to work independently and under supervision.
• Strong confidentiality, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing demands.
