Animal Keeper at Royal Palace

About the role

Welcome to Apt Resources! Our client, the Royal Palace, is seeking an experienced and dedicated Assistant Animal Keeper to join their prestigious team. As a member of the Royal Palace’s animal care department, you will work with a variety of exotic animals and contribute to their well‑being and conservation.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with the daily care of animals, including feeding, watering, and cleaning their living areas.
• Engage in behavioral enrichment activities to promote physical and mental well‑being.
• Monitor the health and behavior of animals and report any concerns to senior keepers.
• Assist with veterinary procedures and handling of animals as needed.
• Provide exceptional customer service by answering visitor questions and delivering educational presentations.

Required profile

• Previous experience with a wide range of animals, including exotic or endangered species.
• Passion for animal welfare and conservation.
• Strong knowledge of animal behavior, nutrition, and general care.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with a diverse audience.
• Physical fitness and endurance to lift heavy objects and stand for long periods.
• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and occasional overtime.
• Professional demeanor to represent the Royal Palace with integrity.
