Arabic Teacher (Primary & Secondary) – Start Sep 2024

About the role

GEMS Cambridge International School is seeking a passionate Arabic Teacher (Level B) to join its dynamic faculty in September 2024. The successful candidate will deliver engaging Arabic language instruction to both primary and secondary students, fostering a love of learning and cultural appreciation.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver Arabic language lessons for primary and secondary classes.
• Create an inspiring, student‑centred learning environment.
• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary projects.
• Participate in school events, parent meetings and extracurricular activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Arabic Language and Literature or B.Ed. in Arabic.
• Valid teaching certification.
• Minimum two years of experience teaching Arabic at primary and/or secondary levels.
• Native Arabic speaker with a good command of written and spoken English.

Required skills

• Strong subject knowledge in Arabic language and literature.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to build positive relationships with students, parents and staff.
