Assistant Manager Buyer – Procurement & Warehouse

About the role

The Assistant Manager Buyer will lead end‑to‑end procurement activities for oil & gas projects and daily operational needs across the UAE/GCC region. You will ensure timely acquisition of materials, equipment, and services while maintaining strong vendor relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to achieve cost‑effective purchasing.
• Manage RFQs, quotations, delivery schedules, and technical clarifications with internal stakeholders.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate procurement planning to prevent shortages or excess stock.
• Ensure compliance with company procurement policies, contractual terms, and HSE standards.
• Track supplier performance, delivery timelines, and service quality.
• Support cost‑saving initiatives and procurement optimisation strategies.
• Handle documentation related to quotations, certificates, approvals, and supplier compliance.
• Resolve procurement‑related complaints, vendor issues, and delivery escalations efficiently.
• Collaborate closely with operations, warehouse, logistics, and finance teams.

Required profile

• 7–10 years of procurement experience, preferably in oil & gas or related industrial sectors.
• Strong knowledge of UAE/GCC vendor markets and HSE requirements.
• Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
