Assistant Principal – Al Ghad Charter School (Start Jan 2027)

About the role

Assistant Principal needed at Al Ghad Charter School in Abu Dhabi, starting January 2027, to support school leadership, drive student achievement improvement and maintain a safe, orderly learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Direct and quality‑assure staff and student activities, ensuring a safe and smooth‑functioning environment.
• Administer the annual school assessment schedule in collaboration with senior leadership and department heads.
• Supervise and evaluate teachers, supervisors and curriculum support staff alongside the Principal and Vice‑Principal.
• Lead recruitment, screening and interviewing for teaching and non‑teaching positions.
• Implement student achievement improvement plans, including MAP/Exact Path testing, data collection and reporting.
• Collaborate with the SLT on instructional methods, materials and programmes.
• Assist in planning and delivering staff CPD to enhance teaching quality.
• Prepare and submit required reports, forms and data requests on time.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in education or B.Sc. with PGCE (essential); Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum six years of experience, including at least four consecutive years of high‑performing teaching.
• At least two years in a middle‑leadership role with a record of school improvement initiatives.
• Experience working with parents, external agencies and handling confidential information.
