Assistant/Associate/Professor in Business & Finance

About the role

The University of Manchester – Dubai is seeking experienced academics to join its Business & Finance faculty. The successful candidate will contribute to high‑quality teaching, maintain an active research agenda, and support programme development within a vibrant, international campus environment.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver research‑informed teaching that meets University of Manchester academic standards.
• Design, develop and continuously improve curriculum, assessment tools and learning materials.
• Provide timely, constructive feedback and mentor students through advising, supervision and project guidance.
• Maintain a sustainable research profile, publish in peer‑reviewed journals and integrate research findings into teaching.
• Engage with industry, government and professional bodies to foster applied research and enhance student employability.
• Participate in academic governance, accreditation processes and quality assurance activities.

Required profile

• PhD or equivalent terminal degree in Business, Finance or a closely related discipline.
• Demonstrated research track record appropriate to the level of appointment (Assistant, Associate or Professor).
• Experience teaching postgraduate programmes in the United Arab Emirates.
• Strong communication and academic delivery skills.
• Commitment to developing teaching methods and expanding specialist knowledge.
• Desirable: experience with international accreditation frameworks, transnational education and industry‑engaged research.
