Bid Officer – Strategic Tender Management

About the role

The Bid Officer will define and execute bid strategies in line with the Bid Core Team, managing the full tender lifecycle from qualification to hand‑over. This role combines commercial, technical and legal coordination to deliver cost‑optimized, competitive offers for complex systems and products.

Key responsibilities

• Define bid strategy and align with the Bid Core Team.
• Manage the complete bid process, including preparation of bid structures and calculations.
• Coordinate with internal departments, local entities and headquarters to develop tailored solutions.
• Conduct commercial and administrative tasks such as offer reviews, risk assessments, approvals and debriefings.
• Lead core bid team meetings, negotiate with customers and ensure smooth hand‑over to execution teams.
• Support financing instruments (guarantees, bid‑bonds, letters of credit) and collaborate with legal for contract finalisation.
• Analyse and optimise bid management processes and tools.

Required profile

• Degree in International Business Administration or related field.
• Proven ability to work under time pressure and manage projects.
• Experience in insurance or related financial instruments.
• Strong commercial understanding, including financial KPIs and instruments.
• Analytical mindset for reporting and risk assessment.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
• Fluent in English and French; additional languages are a plus.
