Billing Accountant

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Billing Accountant to join our finance team in the UAE. The role will own the end‑to‑end billing process for multiple international entities, ensuring accurate invoicing, timely collections and strong customer relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and issue customer invoices accurately and on time.
• Manage the accounts receivable ledger and monitor customer balances.
• Proactively follow up on overdue accounts via email and telephone.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers while ensuring timely collections.
• Resolve customer billing and account queries professionally and efficiently.
• Reconcile customer accounts and investigate payment discrepancies.
• Allocate incoming receipts and maintain accurate customer records.
• Prepare customer statements and ageing reports.
• Coordinate with Sales, Warehouse and Finance teams to resolve order and billing issues.
• Escalate high‑risk accounts where necessary.
• Assist with month‑end accounts receivable closing activities.
• Ensure all customer communications are handled professionally and promptly.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in credit control, accounts receivable, billing or customer service.
• Excellent spoken and written English.
• Strong telephone manner and professional customer handling.
• High attention to detail and strong organisational ability.
• Ability to prioritize workload and work independently in a fast‑paced environment.
• Legal right to work in the UAE (valid residence visa).

• Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
