BTEC Business Teacher

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated BTEC Business Teacher to join our International Schools Partnership campus in Dubai. The successful candidate will deliver the BTEC Business curriculum, support student development, and collaborate with academic and support staff to ensure a high‑quality learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan lessons in advance and share plans with the Head of Level and Academic Coordinator.
• Prepare and organise teaching materials and maintain an up‑to‑date grade book.
• Enter grades promptly at the end of each evaluation period and semester.
• Design and prepare monthly assessments for each topic and grade all assigned work.
• Decorate the classroom with relevant materials and supervise playground duties.
• Collaborate with the Psychology Department to support students with academic, behavioural or emotional issues.
• Work with the Academic Coordinator and psychologist to assist special‑needs and gifted learners.
• Attend meetings, workshops, parent sessions and school activities.
• Act as a mediator in student conflicts and refer cases to the psychologist.
• Organise community service projects, fundraising activities and student participation in fairs.
• Contact parents/guardians for meetings or special events and promote PTA involvement.
• Record daily attendance, collect portfolio assignments and monitor the Homework Board.
• Encourage student participation in sub‑committees and maintain open communication with families.
• Adhere to school uniform policies and perform other duties as required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology or a related field (Master’s preferred).
• Experience teaching BTEC Business or a comparable curriculum.
• Strong organisational, planning and classroom‑management abilities.
• Excellent communication skills for interaction with students, parents and staff.
• Ability to support diverse learning and socio‑emotional needs.

Required skills

• Proficiency with digital teaching tools.
• Intermediate‑level Microsoft Office skills.
