Buyer – Procurement Specialist in Oil & Gas

About the role

The Buyer will lead procurement activities for the Oil & Gas division, managing the full purchasing cycle from requisition to delivery. This role ensures that all goods and services are sourced cost‑effectively, on time, and in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Review material requisitions, plan purchase activities and coordinate with suppliers, contractors and consultants to obtain tenders and quotations.
• Obtain departmental approvals, issue purchase orders and contracts, and monitor delivery to meet project schedules.
• Liaise with suppliers to resolve damaged or non‑conforming material, arrange replacements, and secure credit notes where applicable.
• Process customs clearance documentation, statutory insurances and equipment calibration certificates to satisfy legal and regulatory standards.
• Prepare periodic procurement reports to support management decision‑making.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in the Oil & Gas industry, preferably in procurement.
