Buying Trainee – Fashion Retail (Emiratisation)

About the role

The Buying Trainee position offers a front‑row view of how fashion, product and commercial decisions combine to create collections for customers. Based in Dubai, you will work closely with the Lacoste buying team to learn the full buying cycle, from product selection to stock monitoring and market insight analysis.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and update buying Excel trackers to keep product and purchasing data accurate.
• Support the development of seasonal assortment plans and presentations.
• Assist in product selection, analysing past performance to inform future buys.
• Identify repeat‑buy opportunities and help the team understand product needs.
• Conduct online and in‑store competitor research to spot trends and customer preferences.
• Work with Supply Chain to monitor stock deliveries and ensure timely store replenishment.
• Participate in market visits to understand regional customer profiles and preferences.
• Gain exposure to commercial moments such as Ramadan, Back to School and Back to Work.

Required profile

• UAE national with a Family Book.
• Background in Economics, Finance, Business Management, Analytics or a related field.
• Genuine interest in fashion and retail business operations.
• Strong attention to detail, organisational skills and a proactive attitude.
• Ability to balance creativity with analytical and commercial thinking.
