Care Coordinator - Primary Care Services

About the role

The Care Coordinator in Primary Care Services will be the first point of contact for patients visiting Speciality Hospital Abu Dhabi. You will ensure smooth patient flow, manage appointments, and provide accurate information on services, insurance and billing.

Key responsibilities

• Greet patients, direct them to appropriate departments and answer routine queries.
• Handle telephone inquiries, record messages and coordinate callbacks with doctors or nurses.
• Manage appointments, including scheduling, rescheduling, confirming and tracking no‑shows.
• Register new patients and keep existing records up‑to‑date.
• Explain insurance coverage, collect co‑payments and provide claim forms when required.
• Process daily cash, credit‑card and cheque deposits, ensuring accurate financial handling.
• Generate and issue patient invoices, statements and assist with payment options.
• Maintain knowledge of clinic schedules, doctor rosters and the Hospital Information System for booking.
• Respond to emails promptly and handle patient complaints in a professional, confidential manner.
• Participate in training, quality‑improvement activities and adhere to hospital policies, infection‑control and patient‑safety standards.

Required profile

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
• Knowledge of medical insurance processes and billing procedures.
• Ability to work flexible shifts as assigned.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the Hospital Information System.
