Caregiver – Patient Support Role

About the role

The Caregiver will work under the direct supervision of registered nursing staff at Provita International Medical Center, providing safe and timely patient care. This role supports patients in daily activities, assists during therapy sessions, and contributes to a clean and comfortable environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, grooming, toileting, and feeding.
• Perform manual handling tasks, including patient transfers and mobility support, based on competency.
• Provide assistive care to tracheostomized patients under nurse direction.
• Engage in play activities with pediatric patients and support therapy sessions (physical, occupational, speech).
• Monitor and promptly report any changes in patients’ conditions to licensed nursing staff.
• Maintain cleanliness of patient rooms, stock supplies, and ensure equipment is cleaned and maintained.
• Support patients and families with housekeeping, laundry, food preparation, and errands as needed.
• Respond to emergency situations following established policies and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Certification in Nursing Assistant (minimum 6‑month course) or a nursing graduate without a home‑country license.
• At least one year of experience in a healthcare environment.
• Valid American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) provider qualification.
• Ability to communicate clearly in English (spoken and written); Arabic communication is desirable.
• Willingness to work across departments when necessary.
