Chemistry Teacher (Full‑Time)

About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic Chemistry Teacher to join GEMS Wellington Academy, Al Khail in Dubai. The role involves delivering engaging chemistry lessons across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5, fostering a love of science and supporting student achievement in a vibrant international school environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and assess chemistry curriculum for Key Stages 3‑5.
• Prepare practical laboratory sessions and ensure safety standards.
• Provide constructive feedback and support to students, parents and colleagues.
• Contribute to departmental meetings, curriculum development and school‑wide initiatives.
• Utilise ICT tools to enhance learning and maintain accurate records.

Required profile

• B.Ed or equivalent degree in Chemistry with PGCE/PGDE or comparable qualification.
• Proven experience teaching chemistry at Key Stages 3‑5.
• Creative, enthusiastic approach to classroom and extracurricular activities.
• Strong communication skills for interaction with students, parents and staff.

Required skills

• Proficiency in using educational technology and IT resources.
