Chief Financial Officer (CFO) – Energy & Natural Resources, Dubai

About the role

The Chief Financial Officer will lead the finance function for a leading organisation in the energy and natural resources sector in the UAE. Reporting to senior leadership, the CFO will shape financial strategy, ensure compliance, and drive performance across a dynamic environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with organisational goals.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting and long‑term financial planning processes.
• Ensure compliance with local financial regulations and international reporting standards.
• Analyse financial data to provide actionable insights and recommendations to stakeholders.
• Lead and manage accounting and finance teams to optimise operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to support strategic decision‑making.
• Identify cost‑saving opportunities and enhance overall financial performance.
• Maintain strong relationships with external auditors and financial institutions.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in accounting and finance within the oil and gas or broader energy sector.
• Proven track record in financial planning, analysis and strategy development.
• Financial qualification, preferably from a Big 4 accounting firm.
• Deep knowledge of financial regulations and reporting requirements.
• Strong leadership and team‑management capabilities.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
