Chinese & English Speaking Sourcing Agent / Translator

About the role

We are seeking a Chinese & English‑speaking Sourcing Agent / Translator based in the UAE to act as the bridge between our Dubai team and Chinese manufacturers. You will manage supplier relationships, negotiate commercial terms, and ensure clear, accurate communication throughout the procurement process.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and source manufacturers, suppliers, and products from China using platforms such as Alibaba, 1688, Taobao and WeChat.
• Obtain quotations, specifications, samples, and production timelines; compare offers on price, quality, reliability and lead times.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, MOQs and delivery schedules; coordinate orders, samples, prototypes and shipments to the UAE.
• Translate written documents (quotations, contracts, invoices, product specs) and provide real‑time interpretation during calls and meetings.
• Maintain organized records of suppliers, quotations and orders; track deadlines and follow up on production and shipping.
• Build and sustain strong relationships with key suppliers; visit factories or trade shows in China when required.

Required profile

• Fluent or native‑level Mandarin Chinese and professional English (written and spoken).
• Currently residing in the UAE, preferably Dubai.
• Strong communication, negotiation and organisational abilities.
• Comfortable dealing directly with Chinese factories and understanding cultural business nuances.
