Civil Engineer – STMC (Healthcare Facility)

About the role

Support the Senior Engineer in all civil engineering works at Sheikh Tahnoon Bin Mohammad Medical City, ensuring compliance with policies, safety, statutory and contractual requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Review design specifications, blueprints and technical drawings, and provide suitable engineering solutions.
• Prepare project plans, scopes, work breakdown structures, material lists and cost estimates.
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors and internal teams to approve drawings and monitor progress.
• Conduct site investigations, foundation studies and risk analyses for natural hazards.
• Supervise material compliance testing, inspections, and quality checks throughout construction.
• Maintain document control systems and produce regular project status reports.
• Organise delivery of materials, plant and equipment and oversee labour on site.
• Participate in interdisciplinary meetings, committees and health‑authority engineering directorate sessions.

Required profile

• 2–4 years of relevant civil engineering experience in a similar industry.
• Experience in a large healthcare facility is desired.

• Civil engineering design review and drawing interpretation.
• Engineering calculations and cost estimation.
• Material testing, compliance verification and inspection procedures.
• Risk analysis for natural disasters and foundation design.
