Civil Inspector – Buildings

About the role

Stantec is seeking an experienced Civil Inspector to oversee building projects in Abu Dhabi. The role involves ensuring that all construction activities meet technical, safety and quality standards while collaborating closely with clients, contractors and engineering teams.

Key responsibilities

• Interact with clients and contractor staff to verify project requirements and prepare inspection reports.
• Perform civil and structural tests and provide general inspection of all construction and subcontracted tasks.
• Identify non‑conforming work, generate corrective action reports and coordinate responses.
• Work with engineers to solve design problems, perform basic design calculations and conduct feasibility studies and site investigations.
• Liaise with remote teams to facilitate task completion and maintain clear communication.
• Follow safe work practices, adhere to Stantec’s quality systems and core values, and ensure design for safety.

Required profile

• Degree or Diploma in Engineering from a recognized university.
• 5–10 years of demonstrable experience in supervision and construction.
• Preferable registration with SOE & DMT; previous Musanada experience is an advantage.
